Learn how to replace an ink cartridge in the HP OfficeJet 4650 printer. Replace any ink cartridges that are low, or out of ink, with genuine HP ink cartridges or HP Instant Ink cartridges. Instant Ink cartridges are larger than regular cartridges, but are installed the same way.

Steps to replace a cartridge in the HP OfficeJet 4650 printer:
Power on the printer.
Open the ink cartridge access door.
Lift the lid on the cartridge you need to replace and remove the cartridge from the printer.
Open the new cartridge from its packaging and remove the plastic tape using the pull tab.
Set the new cartridge into the open slot.
Close the ink lid.
Repeat for the other cartridge if necessary.
Close the ink cartridge access door.
On the printer control panel, touch OK.
Slide out the input tray, load paper, and close the input tray.
On the printer control panel, touch Yes, then touch OK to print an alignment page.
Lift the scanner lid and place the alignment page face down in the lower right corner of the scanner glass, then close the lid.
Touch OK to scan the alignment page and then touch OK again once the alignment is complete.
