Steps to fix a carriage jam on the HP OfficeJet 4650:
Remove jammed paper from the input tray, output tray, printhead access area, automatic document feeder, and underneath the printer.
Remove and reinstall the ink cartridges.
Plug the printer’s power cord directly into a wall outlet.
Reset the printer.
If none of these steps remove the carriage jam error, service the printer.
