Learn how to scan from your HP Printer in Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan.
Place your document on the scanner glass or in the ADF. From the Mac desktop, click the Apple menu, click System preferences, click Printers & Scanners. Choose the printer you want to scan from, then click the Scan tab. Click Open Scanner, then click Show Details. Change any desired settings and then click Scan.
